What keeps it running
Bearings at both sides
The swing board drops into a bracket on each side and pivots near the top, so the weight hangs evenly and the arc doesn't wander over a long run.
Magnetic drive
A coil in the base nudges the board once per swing. No gears and no motor whine — just enough push to replace what friction takes away.
Silicone band, not a clamp
A buckled band stretches across the front and holds the phone to the shelf. Case stays on, nothing grips the side buttons, and it fits anything up to 7.2 inches.

Straight answers
Will it work with my app?
Poke Walk moves your phone. It doesn't touch your software. Anything reading your phone's built-in motion sensor — the stock health apps on iOS and Android, and most apps pulling from them — registers the movement.
Apps tracking GPS position won't see anything, because the phone isn't going anywhere. Quick test: if your app still counts indoors with location off, it'll work.
Is this software? Will it mess with my apps?
No software is involved at any point. Poke Walk is a physical cradle that rocks your phone — nothing gets installed, nothing gets modified, and no app on your phone is touched. Your handset simply reports its own motion sensor, exactly as it would if you were pacing around your kitchen or bouncing your leg at a desk.
That said, apps set their own terms about how progress should be earned, so give yours a read before you order.
Workplace or insurance step challenges?
Not for those — they pay out real money, and claiming steps you didn't take is fraud.
How loud is it, really?
Almost silent. Under 40 dB, with only a faint tick at the top of each swing. You can leave it on a nightstand a foot from your head, and if you'd rather not hear it at all, a drawer or a closet works — it doesn't need to be near you to run.
My phone is big and my case is thick.
The silicone band stretches over the front rather than clamping the sides, so it takes up to 7.2 inches and 300 grams with the case on — a Pro Max in a standard case is fine. Very thick rugged cases push past that; take the case off, or send it back within 30 nights.
How fast does it ship?
